Candle Care Tips
- Trim the wick before each burn. Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch to prevent soot and promote a cleaner, more even burn.
- Let it burn evenly the first burn. Allow the candle to melt across the entire surface. This helps prevent “tunneling” and helps the candle burn evenly in future uses.
- Burn for 2-4 hours at a time. To maximize the life of your candle, burn it for 2 to 4 hours at a time but do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time. This promotes even burning and prevents the wax from overheating.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended. Always extinguish when leaving a room. Never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep it away from children and pets.
- Keep away from draft. Place your candle in a draft-free area to avoid uneven burning and excess smoke.
- Extinguish safely. Use a snuffer or gently blow out the candle to extinguish the flame. Avoid using the lid to put out the candle, as it can create smoke or damage the lid.
- Store properly. Keep your candle in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources to preserve its fragrance and appearance.
- Stop using when 1/2 inch of wax remains. To prevent heat damage to surfaces and containers, discontinue use of the candle when about 1/2 inch of wax remains at the bottom.
