Candle Care Tips

  1. Trim the wick before each burn. Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch to prevent soot and promote a cleaner, more even burn.
  2. Let it burn evenly the first burn. Allow the candle to melt across the entire surface. This helps prevent “tunneling” and helps the candle burn evenly in future uses.
  3. Burn for 2-4 hours at a time. To maximize the life of your candle, burn it for 2 to 4 hours at a time but do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time. This promotes even burning and prevents the wax from overheating.
  4. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Always extinguish when leaving a room. Never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep it away from children and pets.
  5. Keep away from draft. Place your candle in a draft-free area to avoid uneven burning and excess smoke.
  6. Extinguish safely. Use a snuffer or gently blow out the candle to extinguish the flame. Avoid using the lid to put out the candle, as it can create smoke or damage the lid.
  7. Store properly. Keep your candle in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources to preserve its fragrance and appearance.
  8. Stop using when 1/2 inch of wax remains. To prevent heat damage to surfaces and containers, discontinue use of the candle when about 1/2 inch of wax remains at the bottom.
